progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Providing humane service without harming the public and keeping Jakarta and its surroundings safe from harassment is the full commitment of the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri. He also loudly voiced this commitment to journalists from the Polda Metro Jaya during a gathering with journalists at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall (BPMJ) in Jakarta on Thursday, (10/16).

“I want the Polda Metro Jaya to truly be an exemplary example in service. And to all my staff at the Polda Metro Jaya, i also forbid hurting the public. Because for me, they are also our family who must always be protected and loved,” emphasized the 41st Kapolda Metro Jaya whom the author affectionately calls Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.

According to him, people who come to the Polda Metro Jaya are undoubtedly experiencing problems and need assistance. And as part of the family, Polda Metro Jaya personnel are certainly obligated to help and serve as best as possible with sincerity.

“The humane service of Polri members will certainly have a positive impact. Therefore, i ask all my members to serve well, speak well, and be polite to the public. So that they can directly feel the positive impact while on duty. Take my word for it,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ emphasizing this.

Furthermore, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also reiterated the ‘Jaga Jakarta’ program, which he champions as Metro 1. This program, said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’, was born from the hope of realizing security and order together with all elements of society. In its implementation, the program’s realization is proportionally supported by four pillars: protecting citizens, protecting the environment, upholding regulations, and safeguarding trust.

“This must be strictly adhered to by all levels of the Polda Metro Jaya in their duty to serve the community. We have also translated these pillars into various activities that are already being carried out. Just make these guidelines a habit while on duty,” said Kapolda Kang Asep “Sniper” again.

He also stated, that the Polda Metro Jaya as an A+ Polda, is fully responsible for maintaining regional security, given Indonesia’s increasingly dense, fast-paced, and challenging social, economic, and political dynamics. Furthermore, the issues within are extremely complex, making it impossible for the Polda Metro Jaya to handle them alone.

As a solution, the Polda Metro Jaya is engaging all elements of society to increase collaboration in creating a conducive situation in Jakarta. One way to do this is by partnering with community organizations.

“Our best way to work to safeguard Jakarta is to engage all elements of society to collaborate in creating a conducive situation in Jakarta. Yesterday, we met with all community organizations in Jakarta. And therein, we are committed to striving for accuracy in our actions, transparency in every process, and upholding integrity in every step we take,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ delivering his promise.

In addition to engaging community members in collaboration, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ continued, The Polda Metro Jaya is also doing the same with the mass media. Gatherings with journalists are now seen not only as a means of socializing, but also as a platform for building close collaboration to make positive contributions to the Jaga Jakarta program.

“I sincerely hope that the relationship with the mass media is not just about sharing news, but also a forum for quality communication based on trust and good cooperation between us and all our fellow journalists,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.

“And i also sincerely hope that the Polda Metro Jaya will have journalists with undeniable quality and integrity for the Jaga Jakarta program. It also aims to build our authentic positive image in the community and to improve ourselves to be even better in the future.”
