Through “Polantas Menyapa,” the Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit Aims to Build Closer Relationships with the Public and Journalists

Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit personnel directly engage with the community and provide education through the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit is providing a humane educational communication service to Tasikmalaya residents through the “Polantas Menyapa” program. This activity is one of the tangible steps taken by the Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit to strengthen communication and engagement with the public, particularly motor vehicle (ranmor) taxpayers and driver’s license (SIM) applicants.
During the program, personnel from the Registration and Identification Unit (Regident) of the Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit directly met with residents processing their SIM and ranmor administration. They then engaged the public in a relaxed dialogue during the educational process regarding ranmor administration, such as vehicle registration renewals, new vehicle registrations, license plate replacements, and SIM matters.
The Head of the Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit, AKP Ajat Sudrajat, through the Head of the Registration and Identification Unit, Ipda Dartam, explained, that the purpose of this activity is to provide a clearer understanding to the public so they don’t get confused in the process of obtaining a SIM and administering motor vehicles.
“Our officers will also provide explanations and gather input from the public regarding the service system at the Tasikmalaya Polres Traffic Unit,” said Ipda Dartam.
“This includes opening a consultation room on various traffic matters and programs within the police force. We want to educate the public regarding motor vehicle administration and driver’s license matters,” he added.
He continued, saying that the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program also demonstrates the service strategy oriented towards openness and closeness between the Polri, particularly the Polantas, and the public.
“We strive to provide a more open, responsive, and accessible Polantas to the public,” he said.
“By presenting ‘Polantas Menyapa,’ we want to raise awareness that the police are not only law enforcers, but also friends to the community, including our fellow journalists from the mass media. We are friends, bro,” concluded Ipda Dartam concluding his statement. (Bembo)
