Proving Their Active Support for the Astacita Program, the Polri Projects SMA KTB as a Leading School

Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo, delivering remarks at the Open Ceremony of SMA Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polri’s full commitment to actively supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita Program, particularly regarding the agenda of accelerating the development of superior human resources towards a Golden Indonesia 2045, was reiterated for the umpteenth time. This time, the Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo, was the vocal voice behind the affirmation.

Also present at the event were the Kapolda West Java, Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan, the Principal Officials (PJU) of the Polri Headquarters, the PJU Polda West Java, members of the Bogor Regency Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Communication Forum), interfaith leaders, and the local community.

This affirmation was sung by vocalist Komjen Pol Dedi during his remarks at the topping off ceremony, the final stage of completion of the main structure of the Academic Center and Library, the inauguration of the An-Nahdah Suhanda Mosque, which can accommodate 976 worshippers, and the groundbreaking ceremony for an interfaith house of worship on the grounds of Kemala Taruna Bhayangkara (KTB) High School in Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, West Java. These three events also accompanied the series of school construction activities.

Wakapolri Dedi emphasized that KTB High School’s role and existence extend beyond being a school. It also serves as a center for character development for the younger generation. This character formation forms the primary foundation for shaping the nation’s next generation, who are superior, morally upright, and globally competitive.

As a flagship school, KTB High School has been designated to implement the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. With this curriculum, students are equipped with world-class learning standards that emphasize character, critical analysis, creativity, and 21st-century competencies. This curriculum also resonates with the instillation of the 12 bhayangkara (virtuous) characters at SMA KTB, which serve as the moral foundation for producing a superior generation.

“SMA KTB focuses on building character as the key to human resource success. This aligns with the thoughts of Amartya Sen and Martin Luther King Jr., and as arenas for practice, Japan and Singapore are the preferred options,” explained Wakapolri Dedi on Thursday, (13/11) yesterday.

Furthermore, Wakapolri Dedi highlighted the importance of human quality as a determining factor in the nation’s progress. He stated that abundant natural resources would mean nothing without superior human resources. Therefore, Indonesia needs such a young generation, one that can lead the nation to leapfrog into a developed nation, like Singapore, for example.

“Singapore is an example of a country that can become a developed nation despite its limited natural resources,” he stated.

To further clarify, the Wakapolri Dedi then presented global comparative data on the number of foreign students at elite US universities. He stated that China alone sends nearly 134.000 students to study at Harvard, Massachusetts, Boston, and several other elite and prestigious universities in the United States. India also has 90.000 students, and Vietnam has 30.000. This is still a far cry from Indonesia, where the number is still below 10.000.

This data clearly demonstrates the urgency for Indonesia to immediately accelerate the development of superior schools, as mandated in President Prabowo Subianto’s Astacita.

Enthusiasm is High Extraordinary

Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo led the topping off of the Academic Center and Library building, the inauguration of the An-Nahdah Suhanda Mosque, and the laying of the first stone for an interfaith house of worship in the KTB Gunung Sindur High School area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

The flagship school, SMA KTB, is targeted to be operational by the start of the 2026 academic year. Progress on the school’s physical construction continues to be accelerated to achieve this target. As of November 10, 2025, the physical construction progress had reached 18,796 percent, slightly above the target of 18,047 percent.

This achievement is commendable considering the obstacles encountered during the process, such as material supply issues and extreme weather that have occurred in recent months. However, Wakapolri Dedi remains confident that all facilities can be completed on time and fully operational by May 2026.

Furthermore, the public’s enthusiasm for enrolling their children in this school is extremely high. SMA KTB currently has a deposit of 120 students, the first batch of students selected through a rigorous selection process of 11.000 applicants. However, due to such high public interest, the number of applicants has now been increased to 15.000 to accommodate this increase.

And according to the registration dashboard as of November 12, 2025, 722 prospective students have already enrolled. Their average academic scores were 88,5 in Math, 88,8 in Science, and 89,3 in English. Their average IQ was 130.

They came from various provinces across Indonesia. 368 applicants were registered in Java, with six provinces. 161 applicants were registered in Sumatra, with 10 provinces; 71 applicants in Kalimantan, with five provinces; 91 applicants in Sulawesi, with six provinces; 21 applicants in Bali, and 15 applicants in Papua, with six provinces.
