Polda Metro Jaya Dispatch Humanitarian Aid for Natural Disaster Victims in Aceh, North Sumatera, and West Sumatera

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya dispatched humanitarian aid to communities affected by natural disasters in Aceh, North Sumatera, and West Sumatera. The aid dispatch was led by Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Polda Metro Jaya (Bhayangkari, Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purnomo, and the Deputy Chairperson of the Polda Metro Jaya Bhayangkari at Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters on Monday afternoon (1/12).
The total aid dispatched consisted of 350 sacks of rice weighing 17.5 tons, 5.000 cartons of Indomie noodles, 2.500 cartons of cooking oil, 62,5 tons of sugar, 1.250 dozen blankets, 120 dozen sarongs, 2.500 cartons of mineral water, 250 cartons of diapers, 1.250 cartons of biscuits, 2.500 cartons of milk, 125 cartons of candles, 5.000 cartons of tea, and 2.500 cartons of coffee. The aid was distributed using 15 logistics vehicles—five trailers and ten Colt Diesel trucks—in collaboration with the Regional Police and local governments to ensure timely delivery to the victims.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained in a statement, that the aid distribution to the three provinces was symbolically launched in three stages. The aid for Aceh Province was handed over by the Head of the Bhayangkari of the Polda Metro Jaya, followed by the Kapolda Metro Jaya for North Sumatera, and the Wakapolda Metro Jaya for West Sumatera.

At the aid distribution ceremony, Kombes Pol Bhudi continued, the Kapolda Metro Jaya also invited all parties to pray for the affected residents, seeking strength to face the disaster. This aid also demonstrated the Polri’s empathy and concern for the victims of the disaster.
“This is concrete evidence that the Polri are present not only to maintain public order and security and enforce the law, but also to carry out humanitarian missions,” he said.
Furthermore, Kombes Pol Bhudi continued, he also urged all elements of society to further enhance their concern for others. He also expressed his appreciation to all parties who supported the smooth running of this humanitarian activity.
