progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI — As a genuine demonstration of support for food security and environmental greening programs in urban communities, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri inspected Green Houses in residential areas in Bekasi City, West Java, on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Accompanied by Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, Regional Supervision Inspector (Irwasda) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Sri Satyatama, and Kapolres Metro Bekasi City, Kombes Pol Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ directly observed the management of Green Houses, which are utilized by residents to cultivate vegetables and other productive plants in the residential area.

Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ then stated, that the presence of Green Houses in residential areas is one solution to maintaining food availability while also increasing residents awareness of the environment. Community-based programs like this, he continued, should be encouraged because they have direct benefits for residents.

“Activities like this demonstrate that collaboration between the community and authorities can create a more productive and healthy environment. We must support this beneficial initiative because it has significant potential for food security and environmental quality,” explained Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’.

He also explained, that in addition to maintaining security, the Polri is also present to support programs that impact community welfare. Therefore, said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’, his visit can also be interpreted as an effort by the Polri to strengthen synergy between the police, local government, and residents to maintain the sustainability of the green environment in the Bekasi area.
