progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated, that the One Data Bill will be deliberated by the DPR RI this year. This deliberation will be expedited considering the discrepancies in data during the disasters that struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatera.
“Public participation in the creation and subsequent harmonization of the Asset Confiscation Law will be invited by the Legislative Body. The One Data Law will be discussed soon,” said Sufmi Dasco at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
He also said, that reflecting on post-disaster experiences, there are data discrepancies because data held by one ministry differs from that of another. This data discrepancy leads to misaligned handling on the ground.
“Yes, One Data is because we have extensive experience with recent disasters, for example. Data from one ministry differed from another, resulting in a lack of synchronization or mismatching in the field when providing aid, including BPJS (Social Security) to evacuees,” explained Sufmi Dasco.
This accomplished politician, born on October 7, 1967, hopes that with the imminent enactment of the One Data Law, there will be no more confusion among the public.
“In the future, one data synchronization will eliminate data confusion that negatively impacts the situation on the ground. One data, one match, one similarity, okay,” said the man who also serves as the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party firmly. (Bembo)
