Ensuring Maximum Security, Kapolda Metro Inspects Ancol Tourist Area

Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, inspects the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol tourist site in North Jakarta.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – To ensure maximum security at the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol tourist area in North Jakarta during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri conducted a direct inspection of the location.

The inspection was conducted in response to the significant surge in tourist numbers on the second day of Eid al-Fitr.

“This coastal area is a major draw for residents to spend time with their families. Therefore, security must be maximized,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ in a statement in Jakarta on Monday, March 23, 2026.

During this inspection, Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ also instructed increased security at areas prone to crowding, such as the beachfront and main entrance. This increased security is intended to prevent disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas) and potential water accidents.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto added, that this inspection demonstrates the Kapolda’s commitment to ensuring the presence of real police services.

“The Kapolda inspected Ancol because he predicts this area will continue to be busy. The inspection was to ensure all personnel are healthy and in top condition. Security and service plans have been well prepared to ensure the public feels safe,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

He also explained, that the optimization of Polri 110 services remains the front line for those in need of immediate assistance. Through integrated security, it is hoped that the holiday season in this coastal area will be safe and orderly for all residents of Jakarta and the surrounding areas.

“The Kapolda’s visit is also part of the Polda Metro Jaya’s readiness for Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026 to anticipate the surge in public mobility,” he further explained.

In addition to physical security, officers have also prepared anticipatory measures in the form of traffic engineering and patrols by the Urai Team for access to North Jakarta. This measure aims to prevent long traffic jams that could disrupt the comfort of tourists entering and exiting the Ancol area.

Based on the results of the Kapolda’s review, the number of visitors to Ancol on Sunday, March 22, 2026, reached 53.824 people. This number has increased significantly by 177 percent. (Bembo)
