progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The incident of a group beating during a confrontation in a case of sexual violence (TPKS) between the victim and a female RIS employe and suspect F was successfully quelled by the Sub-Directorate of Violent Crime (Jatanras) of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate. Three people were immediately arrested on suspicion of assault and battery in this incident.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, explained, that the fistfight occurred during the confrontation at the Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters on Thursday, March 26, 2026 (26/3). During the confrontation, Kombes Pol Bhudi explained, both parties brought supporters.
Investigators anticipated this situation, as both parties brought supporters. When the witness and suspect met, they immediately argued, ultimately leading to a fistfight.
“Seeing the developing situation, investigators immediately blocked and separated the groups to prevent a wider clash. This measure proved effective in de-escalating the situation, allowing the situation to be brought back under control,” explained Kombes Pol Bhudi on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
“From the start, we anticipated potential friction because both parties brought supporters. Investigators immediately took decisive action to separate the two parties, maintaining control of the situation and securing the three perpetrators,” he added.
In his further statement, Kombes Pol Bhudi also urged all parties to approach the situation wisely, especially since the confrontation took place inside a police station.
“To be able to approach this issue wisely, we must not bring it into the realm of ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA). Furthermore, there are victims of the TPKS awaiting justice, and the Polda Metro Jaya is handling the matter and the incident in a balanced manner,” he further explained.
After the scuffle was resolved, the investigation resumed with adjustments to the mechanism. The victim expressed objection to facing the suspect directly.
Due to the victim’s objection, investigators ultimately implemented a separate examination method to ensure the safety and comfort of all parties.
“We will ensure that the case will be handled professionally, proportionally, and in a measured manner, while prioritizing victim protection and maintaining public order and security,” Kombes Pol Bhudi reiterated.
The brawl incident was not solely triggered by the case at hand. There were other issues beyond the TPKS case, and one of the victim’s supporters, a female RIS employee, was known to have had a personal dispute with suspect F, which triggered the heated argument that led to the violent act.
As for the TPKS case itself, F had been named a suspect since July 2025 and was on the wanted list (DPO) before finally complying with investigators’ summons. This case was reported by the RIS victim regarding alleged sexual violence that occurred on October 30, 2022, in the board meeting room on the second floor of the Bapera DPP building, Central Jakarta.
