Wakapolres Metro of the East Jakarta, AKBP Achmad Akbar, visited the Rectorate of Borobudur University to discuss the technical aspects of establishing the Police Study Center Post.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Strengthening synergy between the Polda Metro Jaya and Borobudur University (Unbor) has been implemented with the establishment of a Police Study Center Post. This step is a continuation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Polda Metro Jaya and Unbor to strengthen scientific research to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) within the police force.

To discuss the technical aspects of establishing this Police Study Center Post, the Wakapolres Metro of the East Jakarta, AKBP Achmad Akbar, visited Borobudur University on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was also accompanied by the Head of the East Jakarta Metropolitan Polres Community Development Unit, AKBP Dedy Nurhadi, and the post staff.

Present from the university were the Vice Rector 3 for Student Affairs, Dr. Syaiful, MSi, the Director of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Fasial Santiago, SH, MM, who is in charge of the Police Study Center from Borobudur University, and other accompanying officials.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, explained in his statement, that this discussion was a technical follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement between the Polda Metro Jaya and Borobudur University regarding the Establishment of a Police Study Center at Borobudur University.

“This collaboration is a strategic step in developing research, innovation, and improving the quality of human resources in the police force. It also aims to strengthen synergy between the police and the academic community to create precise, modern, and humane security,” explained Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto in his statement on Friday, April 10, 2026.

This technical discussion included discussions on the points of cooperation to be implemented, including data exchange, scientific research, and community service activities in the East Jakarta Administrative City area.

The discussion also agreed to establish a Police Study Center Command Post on the Borobudur University campus, which will later serve as a joint secretariat.

“This field of knowledge is vast, and the police’s duties are also vast. Therefore, if our steps and duties are not supported by scientific research, their implementation could be misguided,” said Wakapolres AKBP Achmad Akbar.

He hopes, that the presence of the Police Study Center Post at Borobudur University will enrich knowledge and serve as a foundation for the police in developing programs based on research from the academic community.

“We hope that this police study forum will provide a wealth of knowledge derived from Borobudur University research. This will serve as a foundation for us to work on creating better and more targeted programs,” Wakapolres Achmad Akbar added. (Bembo)
