progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – The discovery of an elderly woman named Eem (60) lying dead in a pool of blood at her home in Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency, is currently under investigation by the Polda Metro Jaya and Bekasi Metropolitan Polres. The victim, identified as the owner of a tent rental business, was found dead at her home in Utan Salak Hamlet, Kertamukti Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at around 12:20 p.m. Western Indonesian Time.

Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, stated in a statement, that the victim was found dead by her employees when they came to the house to collect tent equipment.

“The victim didn’t respond when called or contacted by phone,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Friday, April 10, 2026.

“After the door was forced open, the victim was found lying on her back with a head wound,” he added.

Eem’s body is currently at the Kramat Jati Polri Hospital in East Jakarta for an autopsy. Police are still investigating the cause of death.

“Investigators from the Polda Metro Jaya and Bekasi Metropolitan Polres are still investigating this incident. They are determining whether it was a pure murder or whether items were stolen. An autopsy is also being conducted to determine the cause of death, as the body was found with injuries,” explained Kombes Pol Bhudi (Bembo)
