The Zenith Carnophen Jin Pill ‘Factory’ or Jin Pills, was dismantled by a joint team from Ditresnarkoba of the Polda Metro Jaya’s and the West Jakarta Metropolitan Polres on Jalan Kertanegara 3, South Semarang, Semarang.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A joint team from the Polda Metro Jaya’s Narcotics Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) and the West Jakarta Metropolitan Polres’s Narcotics Unit (Satresnarkoba) successfully dismantled a ‘factory’ manufacturing the illegal drug Zenith Carnophen in Semarang, Central Java. During this operation, three suspects were arrested along with evidence of several raw materials for the illegal drug.

Zenith Carnophen (often referred to as Zenith Pills or Genie Pills) is a powerful drug containing the active ingredient Carisoprodol, a type of muscle relaxant. Since 2018, the BPOM (Indonesian Food and Drug Authority) has revoked the drug’s distribution permit due to high levels of abuse and dangerous side effects.

The Director of Narcotics Crimes (Dirtipidnarkoba) at the Polri Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri), Brigjen Pol Eko Hadi Santoso also confirmed the operation. He stated, that the operation was the result of intensive collaboration to disrupt the distribution of hard drugs, which are extremely dangerous for the younger generation.

“We extend our highest appreciation to the ranks of the Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya’s and the Satresnarkoba of West Jakarta Metropolitan Polres’s. The successful dismantling of the Zenith laboratory or ‘factory’ in Central Java demonstrates the Polri’s commitment to suppressing the supply of illegal drugs directly from the source,” said Brigjen Pol Eko when contacted by the media on Monday, April 13, 2026.

The unearthing of the Jin Pill ‘factory’ began when a joint team from the Ditresnarkoba of the Polda Metro Jaya’s and the West Jakarta Metropolitan Polres arrested two suspects at a hotel in North Jakarta on Friday, April 10, 2026. The arrests resulted in the seizure of 120,000 Zenith pills.

Following these arrests, the investigation continued to a second location, on Jalan Kertanegara 3, South Semarang, Semarang. Here, a suspect with the initials TJ, a repeat offender in a drug case, was arrested, along with evidence in the form of a cell phone and two ATM cards.

Following the investigation of suspect TJ, further investigation led to a warehouse in Wonopolo Village, Mijen, Semarang. At this location, a total of 1.855 kilograms of precursors were seized, including 10 barrels of carisoprodol (250 kg), 32 sacks of hisel (730 kg), 26 sacks of talaq (650 kg), 9 barrels of povidone (225 kg), and equipment for producing Zenith pills.

The police are currently investigating this case. The three arrested suspects have been detained at the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters for further questioning. (Bembo)
