progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Just a reminder, based on the National Police Chief’s Telegram Letter No. ST/960/V/KEP./2026 dated May 7, 2026, it states that the position of Kapolda West Java was handed over from Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan to Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto. However, as of Friday, June 19, 2026, this statement has not yet materialized. The position of Kapolda of West Java is still held by Irjen Pol Rudi Setiawan, and the position of Kapolda of West Kalimantan is still held by Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto. What’s crackin’?
Reports have circulated to the public regarding the alleged involvement of Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto in a corruption case involving the management of Mining Business Permits (IUP). And now, reportedly, Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto is undergoing questioning at the Polri Headquarters’ Propam (Propam) regarding these allegations.
These allegations arose after Sudianto was named a suspect in a corruption case in the bauxite mining sector for the 2017–2025 period. He is suspected of irregularities in the acquisition and use of an IUP (Izin Usaha Pertambangan) belonging to PT QSS.
The Chairman of Indonesia Police Watch (IPW), Sugeng Teguh Santoso, has also confirmed the truth of this report. These allegations have also put pressure on law enforcement to ensure transparency and thoroughness.
Professor of Law at Al-Azhar University Indonesia, Prof. Suparji Ahmad also stated in his statement, that the alleged backing practices of Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto in illegal mining must be thoroughly investigated. Before the investigation is complete, the Kapolda of West Java’s position should not be handed over. Even revocation is acceptable for the sake of justice. He also reminded the public about the prohibition of selective enforcement.
“We must not take sides. Anyone involved and proven guilty must be held legally accountable,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, police observer Poengky Indarti stated in his opinion that the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) must also actively coordinate across institutions to investigate allegations of police involvement. He also urged the Polri’s internal oversight to be more proactive in taking action.
“If it’s not proven, it must be rectified. However, if there is involvement, then criminal proceedings and the mandatory code of ethics must be enforced,” said Poengky.
Now it remains to be seen what decisive action the police will take to uncover all parties involved in this illegal mining case without exception.
Is Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto, who should be based at the Polda of West Java Headquarters at Jalan Soekarno-Hatta No. 748, Cimenerang, Gedebage, Bandung City, West Java, also involved? We’ll both find out. Okay.
