progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad summoned the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and the TNI Commander, Jenderal TNU Agus Subiyanto, to the Parliament Complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on the morning of Monday, August 10, 2026. The two were summoned to discuss the domestic security and political situation.

Also present at the meeting were the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono.

Meanwhile, representatives from the parliamentary side included leaders from DPR RI Commission I, such as Utut Adianto, Dave Laksono, Sukamta, and Anton Sukantono. Leaders from DPR RI Commission III, namely Habiburokhman and Rano Alfath, were also in attendance.

“We discussed strategic issues,” said TNI Commander, Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto after the meeting.

Furthermore, Jenderal TNI Agus urged the public not to be provoked by wild rumors circulating on social media.

“I urge the public to continue their activities as usual. The TNI has been and will continue to conduct patrols across various regions to safeguard the public and foster a sense of security within the community,” he urged.

“Especially since we will soon be celebrating the Anniversary of Independence. Let us welcome the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day with joy. I take responsibility for public security across all regions of Indonesia,” added Jenderal TNI Agus. (Bembo)
