Female Student from Banten Dies in Cengkareng Hotel After Being Given Ecstasy and Riklona During Karaoke Party

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A female university student from Banten, identified by the initial S, was found dead in a hotel room in the Duri Kosambi area of Cengkareng, West Jakarta, after allegedly consuming ecstasy and Riklona.
In connection with the case, the Polsek of Cengkareng have detained a man identified as ID, an acquaintance of the victim.
ID was subsequently named a suspect after allegedly providing ecstasy and Riklona to the victim.
Kapolsek of Cengkareng, AKP Rahis Fathlillah stated, that the incident began when the suspect invited the victim and several friends to go karaoke in the PIK 2 area.
Before leaving, the suspect had reportedly prepared the ecstasy and Riklona.
“Upon arriving at the karaoke venue, the suspect took the victim and another friend, identified as ML, to the restroom,” said AKP Rahis on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
While at the venue, the victim initially refused when offered ecstasy. However, a short time later, the suspect again took the victim and her friend to the restroom.
There, both the victim and her friend were given half a pill of ecstasy each.
It didn’t stop there, a few hours later, the suspect again provided ecstasy to both of them. The victim and her friend each received another half-pill.
“The victim and her friend were given half a pill of ecstasy each for the second time,” explained AKP Rahis.
After the karaoke session ended, the suspect gave more drugs to the victim and her friend. This time, each was given two Riklona pills.
The suspect then invited the victim and several witnesses to stay at a hotel in the Cengkareng area of West Jakarta.
However, upon arrival at the hotel, the victim’s condition became alarming. She appeared weak and had to be supported to enter the building.
She even collapsed while standing in front of the elevator. Observing the situation, hotel staff provided a wheelchair to transport the victim to the room.
Upon arrival, the victim was lifted and laid onto the bed. The suspect and witnesses gave the victim milk and an electrolyte drink.
“However, the victim only managed to drink a small amount,” said AKP Rahis.
The following day, the suspect and witnesses left the victim alone in the room to go to work. At that time, the victim remained in the hotel, appearing weak and near death.
Around 1:30 PM (WIB), hotel staff checked the room because the check-out time had passed.
Staff were shocked to discover the victim lifeless in the room.
The incident was reported to the police. Officers from the Polsek of Cengkareng immediately launched an investigation and secured evidence for legal proceedings.
The evidence included clothing belonging to the suspect and the victim, a pillow and bedsheets, milk, an electrolyte drink, and 19 Riklona pills.
Police also secured WhatsApp conversations involving the witnesses and CCTV footage related to the sequence of events.
Examination results revealed that the suspect, ID, tested positive for methamphetamine, amphetamine, and benzodiazepine via a urine test.
Meanwhile, external and internal examinations (autopsy) indicated that the victim died from amphetamine and methamphetamine intoxication.
For these actions, the suspect, ID, has been charged under Article 116 Paragraph (2) of Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. (Bembo)
