Disaster Area Inspection Continues, Wakapolri Seeks Confirmation from the DVI Antemortem Post of the Pusdokkes at the Polda West Sumatera

progresifjaya.co.id, PADANG – Wakapolri, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo continued his inspection of disaster-affected areas on Sumatera Island. Today, Thursday, December 4, 2025, Wakapolri Dedi visited the Polri’s DVI Antemortem Post of the Pusdokkes at the Polda West Sumatera. Upon arrival at approximately 8:30 a.m, Wakapolri Dedi immediately ensured the readiness of the equipment the DVI Team will use to identify disaster victims in the area.

Wakapolri Dedi also received a direct presentation from officials at the Pusdokkes and other relevant officials regarding the antemortem data collection process and the identification process, including various challenges faced by the team at the location.

Following the presentation, the Wakapolri Dedi provided direction so that all personnel could maintain professionalism in their duties. All personnel were also asked to work together at a fast and accurate pace to expedite the victim identification process.

“All activities in this process demonstrate the commitment of the Polri leadership to ensuring that all humanitarian services run optimally, especially those related to disaster victim management,” said Wakapolri Dedi Prasetyo.

“The DVI team, which operates according to international standards, continues to coordinate with all parties in the field. The hope is that the identification process can proceed smoothly and provide certainty for the victims’ families,” he added.

Furthermore, he mentioned certainty as the goal of his entire review schedule. He wanted assurance that all procedures were carried out in accordance with operational standards. Furthermore, his presence as a leader during the review also served as a form of moral support for all personnel carrying out humanitarian duties in disaster-affected areas.

Concluding his remarks during the review, Wakapolri Dedi reiterated the Polri’s continued efforts to maximize its capabilities to restore areas devastated by disasters.
