Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit Chief, AKP Riki Kustiawan became the ceremony instructor at MTs Negeri 3 Tasikmalaya City during the implementation of the ‘Polantas Menyapa Goes to School’ program – a development of the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program of the Korlantas Polri
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit has demonstrated its commitment to providing excellent, fast, transparent, and humane public services to the community. Now, through the “Polantas Menyapa Goes to School” program—an extension of the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program—which has been paired with the ‘Polwan Mengajar’ program initiated by the Kapolres Tasikmalaya City, AKBP Moh Faruk Rozi, the Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit personnel are becoming more actively involved in meeting the public and providing education.
The ‘Polantas Menyapa Goes to School’ and ‘Polwan Mengajar’ programs also serve as an effective means for personnel to interact directly with the public and educate students, including students, on maintaining public order and security (Kamtibmas) and maintaining traffic awareness (Kamseltibcar Lantas).
For the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program itself, the educational materials provided include information on the official costs for issuing a driver’s license (SIM), the standard operating procedures (SOP) for service, and procedures for handling administrative issues to prevent the public from falling prey to ticket scalpers.
This program also empowers personnel to go beyond providing administrative services to providing comprehensive guidance and outreach regarding the procedures, regulations, and official costs for the motor vehicle registration and identification (Regident Ranmor) process.
Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit Chief, AKP Riki Kustiawan explained in an official statement, that the ‘Polantas Menyapa Goes to School’ program is an extension of the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program from the Korlantas Polri, expanding its educational target audience to students. This program also represents a concrete manifestation of public service reform within the Polri.
“The ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program is a manifestation of our commitment to providing transparent, accountable, and public satisfaction-oriented public services. We then further developed it by educating students through ‘Polantas Menyapa Goes to School,’ targeting students as our educational target,” explained AKP Riki recently.
He also stated, that the Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit consistently monitors and ensures that all personnel in the field understand and master the basic values of excellent, humane service as educational material. The Tasikmalaya City Polres Traffic Unit also aims to ensure that operations at Satpas and Samsat are truly free of extortion, no longer just a mere slogan.
“We want to ensure that the public, including students, receive accurate and easily accessible information about services at Satpas and Samsat, which are truly free from illegal levies,” AKP Riki reiterated.
In addition to improving service quality, he continued, the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ program and its expansion into Goes to School also demonstrate the Polri’s strategic steps to strengthen emotional ties with the community. By implementing open communication and an empathetic approach, the Traffic Police, as the Polri’s frontline in the community, strive to rebuild public trust in the institution.
He further explained, that the implementation of the “Polantas Menyapa” program and its ongoing development, namely Goes to School, are projected to create a modern, integrated, and public-focused traffic service ecosystem. This aligns with the spirit of the Precision Polri Transformation initiative initiated by Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“We want the public and students to see the Polri not only as law enforcement officers, but also as service partners who are present with their hearts,” he concluded. (Bembo)
