progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya held a Main Duties and Functions Training (Tupoksi) for Pamapta at the Metro Jaya Meeting Hall (BPMJ) on Friday, (24/10). The training, opened by Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, was attended by 393 Pamapta personnel from the Polres level, Polsek level, and representatives of Pamapta from Polda Metro Jaya.
The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi explained in a statement, that this training was crucial because it aimed to improve the technical skills, preparedness, and professionalism of Pamapta personnel as the frontline of police services. This training also provided an opportunity for all Pamapta personnel to establish a common understanding before taking action.
“Pamapta is the first face of the Polri that the public sees. Therefore, mastering empathy, good speech, and communication skills are crucial,” explained Brigjen Pol Ade Ary.
He emphasized, that every Pamapta member is required to be a role model in discipline, patience, and decisiveness. However, empathy remains a priority that must be prioritized in every action.
“Everything from dialogue patrols and handling public order disturbances to emergency traffic management and persuasive public communication skills must be mastered. All of this will further strengthen Pamapta’s role as a preventive function that adapts to modern challenges,” Brigjen Pol Ade Ary said again.

He also emphasized, that police service is not only measured by the speed and accuracy of responding to public reports, but also by sincerity and empathy when providing assistance. Therefore, he continued, reminding all personnel to always maintain a humane side in every action in the field.
“People who come to the police station or report through 110 are our own brothers and sisters. We must be able to understand and feel their hardships. That is the form of service with heart that we continue to uphold,” he reminded.
“Pamapta is also the first representative of the Polri in the eyes of the public. Therefore, they must be ready, resilient, and possess good communication skills so that the police’s presence is truly felt as protectors, guardians, and servants of the public,” he added.
Currently, Pamapta operational vehicles have been technically distributed to the Polres and Polsek. Therefore, with this training, all Pamapta personnel are expected to be even more prepared to provide fast, responsive, and humane service to the public.
Furthermore, this is also part of the Polda Metro Jaya commitment to realizing professional and empathetic police public service. So, have a productive day ahead, friends! (Bembo)
