Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo with online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) during the ‘Jogo Jatim’ online motorcycle taxi roll call at Gajayana Stadium, Malang, East Java, Friday, (10/31)

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – A total of 4.425 online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers participated in the Online Motorcycle Taxi (Ojol) Kamtibmas Roll Call themed “Jogo Jatim” led by Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo at Gajayana Stadium, Malang, East Java, on Friday, (10/31). This roll call demonstrated the joint commitment between the Polri and online drivers to work together to maintain a conducive situation.

In his remarks, Kapolri Listyo Sigit expressed his gratitude to the thousands of ojol drivers who attended the roll call. He also expressed his appreciation for the drivers who delivered the Ojol Kamtibmas Declaration during the event.

“Alhamdulillah, we just held a public order and security roll call with the theme ‘Jogo Jatim’ with our partners from the Polda East Java. Of course, i’d like to express my gratitude especially to the ojol community who held the roll call today and also delivered the declaration of kamtibmas roll call,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

He stated, that this roll call is a manifestation of partnership and synergy between the Polri and the entire ojol community, as well as the regional government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and other stakeholders.

He then touched on the important role of ojol in Indonesia’s economic growth. This is because online motorcycle taxi drivers are the link between businesses and consumers.

“It’s undeniable that ojol are the link between economic actors, MSMEs, and the public or consumers. This is certainly a driver of economic growth,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit again.

He continued, saying that online motorcycle taxi drivers are on the streets every day, so they are able to witness many things, such as accidents or criminal acts that harm the community.

Therefore, Kapolri Listyo Sigit further stated ojol should not hesitate to report any incidents to the police. They will then act swiftly to respond to these complaints.

“We, the Polri, certainly want to partner and contribute. So, i hope our fellow ojek drivers can also contribute by working together to monitor and report any issues that require a swift response from the police,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

Furthermore, Kapolro Listyo Sigit also stated that the Polri have established several partnership outlets that ojek drivers can utilize. These include outlets or locations that ojek drivers can use as repair shops. They also include outlets or locations that can be used as rest areas when they are tired from work.

“I hope these partnership outlets can be followed up and developed by all levels, especially within the Polda East Java. The goal is for us to work together to maintain and create a conducive kamtibmas situation,” explained Kapolri Listyo Sigit.

“Because we all know, economic growth can only occur if all people can run their businesses well under conducive public order and security. That’s why we must continue to develop this synergy and partnership,” he added, concluding his remarks. (Bembo)
