Plenary Meeting of the Central Assembly of the Pentecostal Church in Indonesia (MP–GPdI) at the Aston Hotel, Jakarta.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Central Assembly of the Pentecostal Church in Indonesia (MP–GPdI) held a plenary meeting at the Aston Hotel in Jakarta on Monday (24/11). This plenary meeting marked a crucial milestone in the organization’s restructuring and strategic policy direction of GPdI. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the MP, Rev. Dr. Johnny Weol, MM., M.Th., along with the General Secretary of the MP, Rev. Dr. Elim Simamora, Rev. Hendrik Runtukahu, Bendum, and Rev. Ivone Lantu Awuy, MPR. Also attending were Expert Staff to the General Chair of the MP GPdI, Rev. Andre Yosua M., and Rev. Meidy Saerang.

One of the main agenda items discussed at the plenary meeting was the determination of the location for the next GPdI National Working Conference (Mukernas). After thorough discussion and consideration of various aspects of regional readiness, the plenary meeting finally decided that the GPdI National Working Conference (Mukernas) would be held in Surabaya, East Java.

This decision was made after considering the readiness of infrastructure and facilities, as well as the support of the East Java Regional Assembly (MD), which was deemed capable of hosting such a large-scale national event.

In addition to determining the Mukernas location, the plenary meeting also ratified a crucial decision regarding the leadership of the GPdI Banten Regional Assembly. The official forum emphasized that there would be only one MD leadership, namely the MD GPdI Banten, led by Rev. Samuel Tumbel as MD Chair. He will be accompanied by a leadership team consisting of Rev. Dr. Herry Lumatauw, Rev. Voudy Mokoagow, S.Th., Rev. Mody Rumondor, S.Th., and Rev. Dr. Chemy Watulingas. – Infokom.

The affirmation of this leadership structure aims to avoid dualism in management and ensure that all GPdI services and administration at the regional level run according to regulations, in an orderly, and harmonious manner. The MP emphasized that legitimate leadership is key to maintaining organizational consolidation and creating stability in services across all regions.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the MP, Rev. Dr. Johnny Weol, stated that the decisions made at this plenary meeting represent a strategic step towards strengthening GPdI’s organizational governance. He also emphasized the importance of togetherness, adherence to church regulations, and a commitment to maintaining unity amidst increasingly complex ministry dynamics.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the MP, Rev. Dr. Elim Simamora, also emphasized that every decision issued by the MP is binding and aimed at achieving increasingly effective and impactful services.

The plenary meeting concluded with a collective prayer and a commitment from all participants to support the implementation of the National Working Conference in Surabaya and to maintain the integrity of the GPdI MD leadership. With the adoption of these important decisions, the MP-GPdI hopes that future services will grow, solidify, and be a blessing to the congregation and the community.
