Agreeing to an MoU on the Implementation of the New KUHP and KUHAP with the Kejagung, the Kapolri is Optimistic About Providing a Sense of Optimal Justice to the Public

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polri and the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the implementation of the new Criminal Code (KUHP) and Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). This MoU aims to align perceptions among law enforcement officers (APH) regarding the implementation of the regulations.

After signing the MoU with Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated, that he is increasingly confident that the implementation of the new KUHP and KUHAP will provide a sense of justice to the public.

 “Today we are carrying out a MoU, followed by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) regarding synergy and understanding in implementing the new KUHP) and KUHAP. And i’m optimistic that its implementation will be optimal and provide a sense of justice for the community,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit at the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri), South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

“Together, we will be able to implement the mandate and expectations of the KUHP and  KUHAP for the sake of a sense of justice for the community,” he added.

According to National Police Chief Listyo Sigit, the new Criminal Code (KUHP) and Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) regulate many of the things the community has long hoped for, such as legal resolution processes that are in accordance with local wisdom and existing situations and conditions.

The MoU signed with the Attorney General’s Office is intended to enable the Polri and the Kejagung to effectively implement the regulations contained in the new KUHP and KUHAP.

 “Together, as law enforcement officers, we work in harmony, on the same wavelength, with one mind, so that we can truly fulfill the public’s hopes and achieve justice. And we also remain committed to firmly enforcing the law against violations committed by anyone,” he emphasized.
