Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, meets with Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi visited the home of Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab on Jalan Petamburan III, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

This meeting was a casual gathering between representatives and a team from the Islamic Brotherhood Front (Umara) to discuss and exchange opinions with Islamic scholars.

Habib Rizieq Shihab’s lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, who attended the meeting, stated, that his party supports President Prabowo’s good policies and corrects any shortcomings.

“This is extraordinary, God willing, and deserves appreciation from the President and his government. We support what is good and right, and we correct and remind people about what is not. The goal is good, the method is good, and the timing is good,” said Aziz.

The meeting between Sufmi Dasco and State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Islamic Brotherhood Front (FPI) leader Rizieq Shihab came after Prabowo Subianto previously invited clerics, leaders of Islamic organizations, and Islamic boarding school leaders to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Habib Rizieq was not present at this meeting. He was represented by his son-in-law and Secretary of the Islamic Brotherhood Front’s Consultative Council, Habib Muhammad Hanif Alatas. (Bembo)
