Before investigators from the Directorate of Women, Children, and Human Trafficking (PPA-PPO) of the Polda Metro Jaya, WAH admitted he dared to commit his depraved act because he was just trying it out while under the influence of methamphetamine.

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that WAH tested positive for methamphetamine after a urine test. Furthermore, police also found a bong, a methamphetamine smoking device, in the car he used to drive his online taxi.

“An examination was conducted at the Polda Metro Jaya’s Health Office and the results were positive for methamphetamine,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Director of Women’s Protection and Drug Control (PPA-PPO) at the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Rita Wulandari added, that a series of tools used for drug use were also found in the car used by the suspect.

“Then there were 32 plastic bags containing used methamphetamine packages,” explained Kombes Pol Rita.

She also added, that the suspect had been using methamphetamine since November 2025. He started using it after being laid off. The suspect used the methamphetamine to escape his frustration over the layoff.

Meanwhile, the suspect’s despicable actions against SKD began with the suspect making obscene remarks to the victim. He asked SKD if she offered an open BO service.

This interaction was accompanied by the suspect taking the victim to a deserted location, which was not their intended destination. These irregularities alerted the victim, who eventually recorded the perpetrator’s actions.

When he realized the victim was recording him, the suspect panicked. He jumped into the back seat where the victim was sitting and pinned her down and strangled her.

However, the victim managed to fight back and escape from the car. The victim then reported the suspect’s actions to an online taxi app, which also went viral.

Suspect WAH was finally arrested by police in Depok, West Java, on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. He was charged under Article 414 paragraph 1 letter B, Article 414 paragraph 2 of Law Number 1 of 2023, and Article 16 paragraph 1 of the Law on Sexual Violence (TPKS).
