progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, and the Jakarta Military Commander (Pangdam Jaya), Letjen TNI Deddy Suryadi, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander of the Special Forces Command (Pangkopassus), Letjen TNI Djon Afriandi, at the Kopassus Command Headquarters in Cijantung, East Jakarta, on Friday, July 24, 2026.

This courtesy visit served as an opportunity to strengthen communication, coordination, and solidarity between the Polda Metro Jaya, the Kodam Jaya, and Kopassus to maintain security in Jakarta and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

Also attending the visit were the Wakapolda of Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, the Kasdam Jaya, Mayjen TNI Putra Widyawiyana, senior officials from the Polda Metro Jaya, the Kodam Jaya, and the Kopassus, as well as several officers from each unit.

In his explanation, the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri stated, that the TNI and the Polri are the two main pillars for maintaining security stability, state sovereignty, and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). Therefore, the unity between these two institutions must be maintained and strengthened to face various challenges.

He also stated, that future challenges will become increasingly complex in line with evolving global, regional, and national situations. These conditions must be faced with strong collaboration between the TNI, Polri, local governments, and the community.

“The TNI and Polri are the two main pillars for safeguarding the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). We must continue to be united, support each other, and work together to maintain the security of the community, the government, and the integrity of the nation and state,” said the Kapolda.

He further emphasized the shared spirit between the Polda Metro Jaya and the Kodam Jaya, “Jaga Jakarta, Jaga Jayakarta, and Keep Indonesia Intact. This spirit will always serve as a reminder that Jakarta’s security is crucial for national stability.

The Pangdam Jaya, Letjen TNI Deddy Suryadi, added. He said, that cooperation between units is essential to address the high security dynamics in Jakarta. Every development in the capital must be handled carefully and measurably because it can impact other regions.

He stated, that coordination between the Kodam Jaya, the Polda Metro Jaya, and the Kopassus must continue, including providing services for community activities and anticipating potential security disturbances.

On this occasion, the Commander of Kopassus, Letjen TNI Djon Afriandi, also emphasized, that Kopassus will always be ready to provide support whenever needed by the Polda Metro Jaya and the Kodam Jaya, in accordance with procedures, authority, and orders from their superiors. He also urged personnel not to be easily influenced by one-sided information that could lead to misunderstandings between the TNI and the Polri.

“The Kodam Jaya and the Polda Metro Jaya are a harmonious duo. They both have excellent communication and coordination to deal with the various dynamics in Jakarta,” said the Commander of the Kopassus.

“And in the near future, we will schedule a reciprocal visit to the Polda Metro Jaya as a manifestation of our commitment to continue strengthening the already well-established cooperation,” he added.
