Polda Metro Jaya personnel distribute basic food packages to online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers during the Caring Friday event.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA — The Polda Metro Jaya carried out a humanitarian initiative by distributing 200 basic food packages to online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers during the Caring Friday (Jumat Peduli) event in front of the Promoter Building at the Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The food packages were handed over directly by Polda Metro Jaya personnel to the ojol drivers present at the location. The distribution process was conducted in an orderly, turn-by-turn manner.

Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto explained, that this activity serves as an expression of care and an effort to strengthen communication between the police and the public.

“Through Caring Friday, we aim to share with and strengthen our bond with the community. We hope this assistance brings benefits to the ojol drivers and their families,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi.

He further explained that ojol drivers play a vital role in supporting the public’s daily mobility; therefore, maintaining communication and a sense of togetherness with the ojol community is essential.

“We call upon all segments of society to reinforce a spirit of care and mutual assistance, and to work together in keeping Jakarta safe, orderly, and conducive,” he added. (Bembo)
