A depraved father, identified by the initials DA, who repeatedly raped his own biological child, has been arrested by Sub-directorate 3 of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Women and Children Protection (PPA-PPO) Directorate.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – In a truly heinous act, a father identified by the initials DA repeatedly raped his own biological daughter in the Cakung area of ​​East Jakarta and in West Jakarta.

DA’s depraved actions were finally brought to an end when Sub-directorate 3 of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Women and Children Protection (PPA) and Human Trafficking (PPO) Investigation Directorate—led by Sub-directorate Kompol Donny Baralangi—arrested him on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The arrest stemmed from a report filed by the victim’s mother regarding her husband’s heinous conduct. DA allegedly committed these acts between 2024 and 2025 across East and West Jakarta.

Following the report, investigators from Sub-directorate 3 conducted an inquiry and monitored DA’s whereabouts, eventually apprehending him without resistance.

During the investigation, authorities questioned the victim, the complainant, witnesses, and experts. The victim also underwent psychological and psychiatric evaluations, which serve as both evidence and a basis for trauma recovery efforts.

Polda Metro Jaya Director of PPA-PPO, Kombes Pol Rita Wulandari Wibowo explained, that investigators have submitted a request for restitution to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) to ensure the fulfillment of the victim’s rights and her recovery throughout the legal proceedings.

For his actions, the suspect, DA, has been charged under Article 76D in conjunction with Article 81 and/or Article 76E in conjunction with Article 82 of the Child Protection Law.

“Investigators are also applying penalty enhancement provisions, given the suspect’s status as the victim’s biological parent,” said Kombes Pol Rita.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, urged the public to help ensure safety and not to ignore reports of child abuse.

“Any instance of a child finding the courage to speak about their experience must be met with care and support. Members of the public who encounter signs of child abuse are urged to report it immediately so that the victim can receive prompt assistance,” stated Kombes Pol Bhudi. (Bembo)
