progresifjaya.co.id, DEPOK — Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri, along with Wakapolda Metro Jaya, Brigjen Pol Dekananto Eko Purwono, Depok Mayor Dr. H. Supian Suri, and Kapolres Metro of Depok, Kombes Pol Abdul Waras, conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Polres Metro of Depok Headquarters on Jalan Margonda Raya, Depok City, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.

The construction of the Polres Metro of Depok Headquarters also represents a significant step towards strengthening police facilities and infrastructure. The construction of various new facilities is expected to support faster, more convenient, and optimal police services for the people of Depok City.

On this occasion, the Kapolda Metro Jaya stated, that the construction of the Polres Metro of Depok Headquarters is not just about physical development, but also a momentum to improve the quality of services to the public.

“Police stations must be a service space for the public. A safe place to visit that makes people feel valued. It also presents the Polri as protectors, guardians, and servants of the community,” said Kapolda Kang Asep ‘Sniper’ at the location.

He further reminded the Polres Metro of Depok to continue to maintain public trust by working professionally, humanely, and with benefit for the community.

“Don’t hurt the public’s feelings, and be police officers who are beneficial to the community,” he urged.

Meanwhile, Depok Mayor, Dr. H. Supian Suri expressed his appreciation to the Polri for their dedication and collaboration in maintaining security and order in Depok City. He also emphasized that the support for the construction of the Polres Metro of Depok Headquarters  demonstrates the local government’s commitment to strengthening public services.

Kapolres Metro of Depok, Kombes Pol Abdul Waras also stated in his statement, that the construction of  the Polres Metro of Depok Headquarters is a symbol of renewed enthusiasm for the Polres Metro of Depok to meet the public’s expectations.
