The body of the South Korean citizen, identified as SS, being evacuated from the crime scene.

progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – The murder case of a South Korean man, SS (66), who was found dead in a pool of blood at his home in Tambun, Bekasi Regency, on Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2026, was handled swiftly by the police. Based on circulating information, the suspected killer has been arrested.

This information was also confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto.

“Yes, that’s right. He is still a suspect, and he is still being interrogated,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi on Friday, May 29, 2026.

However, he declined to provide details on the identity of the suspect. He only stated that investigators were still conducting intensive questioning of the suspect.

“We are still reviewing the information, please allow time,” said Kombes Pol Bhudi briefly.

Separately, the Kapolres Metro of Bekasi, Kombes Pol Sumarni also stated, that his team was still investigating the case.  Several witnesses related to this murder case have been questioned.

“It’s under investigation. We’ve processed the crime scene, questioned witnesses, and gathered other evidence,” said Kombes Pol Sumarni.

He also stated, that the suspected cause of death of the South Korean citizen was murder. However, the chronology is not yet known.

“That’s the suspicion (murder). God willing, we’ll hold a press conference on Tuesday. We’ll announce it at the press conference,” said Kombes Pol Sumarni.
