Distribution of milkfish and whiteleg shrimp seeds by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Ditpolairud in the Muaragembong fishpond area, Bekasi Regency.

progresifjaya.co.id, BEKASI – The Polda Metro Jaya has once again demonstrated its support for President Prabowo Subianto’s food security program. Through the Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolairud), 15.000 milkfish fingerlings and 150.000 whiteleg shrimp fingerlings were released into the Muaragembong pond area, Bekasi Regency. This release also serves as an effort to strengthen the Polda Metro Jaya’s SPPG raw material supply chain.

This activity took place in Bagedor Hamlet, Pantai Harapan Jaya Village, Muaragembong District, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. This activity is part of efforts to strengthen the aquaculture sector and increase the productivity of ponds, which have long been a source of livelihood for coastal communities.

The Director of Polairud Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Mustofa stated in an official statement, that the potential of ponds in coastal areas must continue to be promoted to produce food commodities with economic value for the community.

“The Polda Metro Jaya through the Ditpolairud are present not only to maintain security in the waters, but also to support food security programs and improve the welfare of coastal communities. We want the potential of existing fish ponds to develop and provide greater benefits to residents,” explained Kombes Pol Mustofa.

In addition to releasing milkfish and whiteleg shrimp seeds, this activity also demonstrates synergy between the police and the community to maintain the sustainability of the aquaculture sector. With proper management, the harvest is expected to strengthen food availability and increase the income of fish farmers.

“Hopefully, the seeds released today will grow optimally and produce a good harvest. We hope this activity can help improve community pond yields and be part of a joint effort to strengthen national food security,” said Kombes Pol Mustofa.

Also attending the activity were community leader H. Zaini Sidi, fish farmer Munasir, and local residents. The presence of various community elements at this activity demonstrated the spirit of collaboration maintained to build a productive and sustainable fisheries sector that can benefit the welfare of the Muaragembong coastal community. May Allah bless you.
