Searching for the Best Police Units in Public Service, the Kompolnas Holds the Kompolnas Awards

The Secretary of the Kompolnas, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Drs. Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo, and the Commissioner of the Kompolnas and Chairperson of the 2026 Kompolnaz Awards, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, provide an explanation of the Kompolnas Awards.

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) officially kicked off the 2026 Kompolnas Awards program through a socialization event held at the Kompolnas Office in South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The annual awards program is promoted as a form of appreciation for Polri units that demonstrate the best performance in public service.

Kompolnas Secretary, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Drs. Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo explained in his statement, that the 2026 Kompolnas Awards will be the fifth since its inception. He also stated, that this activity is being held in collaboration with Polri officials from the Mabes Polri (Polri Headquarters), Polda (Regional Police), Polres (Resort Police), and Polsek (Sector Police) levels throughout Indonesia.

Kompolnas Commissioner and Chairperson of the 2026 Kompolnas Awards Implementation Committee, Irjen Pol (Ret.) Ida Oetari Poernamasasi also stated, that this year’s awards include several improvements to the assessment mechanism.  The participant categories are further differentiated, at the Mabes Polri, Polda, Polres, and Polsek levels, to produce a more objective and proportional assessment.

According to Ida, the Kompolnas Awards aim to recognize the best-performing Polri units and serve as motivation for other units to continuously improve the quality of their services to the public.

“The Kompolnas Awards are a form of appreciation or recognition from Kompolnas to the best-performing Mabes Polri units. We hope this will motivate other units by implementing best practices so that all levels of the Polri can continuously improve their performance,” said Ida.

She also explained, that one of the main aspects that characterizes the Kompolnas Awards assessment is the work unit’s response to public complaints (dumas) received by Kompolnas, including the speed and quality of follow-up.

In addition to assessing organizational performance, Kompolnas will also conduct field visits to the best nominees. This is to ensure the quantitative data aligns with actual conditions on the ground. The assessment is based on five main indicators: Prosperity, Planet, People, Partnership, and Peace (5P).

“We want to ensure that the data we assessed in the initial stage is truly reflected in the implementation of our duties in the field. Therefore, the judging team will conduct direct visits to the best nominees,” she explained.

The 2026 Kompolnas Awards judging team consists of representatives from Kompolnas, the Polri Headquarters, academics, community leaders, and the media. The involvement of these various elements is expected to ensure an independent, objective, and comprehensive assessment process.

Kompolnas is also opening up opportunities for public participation by inviting the public, academics, the media, and various other stakeholders to provide input regarding the Polri work units deemed to have provided the best service.

“We encourage the public to contribute input regarding Polda, Polres, and Polsek deemed to have provided the best service. This is part of a joint effort to encourage Polri to become more professional and responsive to the needs of the community,” Ida explained.

The 2026 Kompolnas Awards will begin in June 2026 and is planned to culminate with an awards ceremony on September 3, 2026. Who’s the front-runner?  Let’s sit tight together.
