The Sub-Directorate of Gakum, Water and Air Police Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya busted two illegal drug dealers in Muara Baru, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Two perpetrators of illegal drug trafficking, including tramadol, hexymer, trihexyphenidyl, and mersi, were arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya’s Water and Air Police Directorate’s (Ditpolairud) Law Enforcement (Gakum) Sub-Directorate. The two perpetrators, N and RR, were arrested at a kiosk in the Muara Baru area, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
The Head of the Polda Metro Jaya Gakum Sub-Directorate Ditpolairud, AKBP Ardhie Demastyo stated in his statement, that the arrest of the two perpetrators stemmed from a previous case. They seized 23.284 illegal drugs, branded tramadol, hexymer, trihexyphenidyl, and riklona ​​clonazepam.
The proceeds from the sales and a cell phone used for the transactions were also seized.
The Director of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Water and Air Police, Kombes Pol Mustofa in his statement expressed his strong commitment to eradicating the distribution of illegal drugs. This effort, especially since it has the potential to endanger public health, particularly for coastal communities, fishermen, and crew members in North Jakarta.
“We are committed to eradicating the distribution of illegal drugs because they have the potential to endanger public health, especially for coastal communities, fishermen, and fishing vessel crews,” Kombes Pol Mustofa emphasized in his statement on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
He also stated, that the two perpetrators, along with the evidence, have been secured for further investigation at the Sub-Directorate of Gakum of the Polda Metro Jaya’s Water and Air Police Directorate. Investigators are still investigating the possibility of other networks being involved.
The two perpetrators, N and RR, are being charged under Article 435 and/or Article 436 paragraphs (1) and (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, concerning unauthorized pharmaceutical practices and the distribution of substandard pharmaceutical preparations.
