progresifjaya.co.id, DEPOK – The Depok Metro Police are handling a sexual assault case (TPKS) involving a child who is allegedly the victim of sexual abuse by his volleyball teacher in Depok, West Java. This TPKS incident has gone viral on social media after being posted by several accounts. The circulating narratives allege that the perpetrator is the victim’s coach.

The incident began when the victim’s mother took her child to practice at the youth sports center (GOR) and waited nearby. Shortly afterward, the victim came out and approached her mother.

The victim confessed to her mother that she had been sexually abused. Finally, on Wednesday, April 7, 2026, the victim’s parents filed a report with the number LP/B/38/1/2026/SPKT/POLRES METRO DEPOK/POLDA METRO JAYA.

The Head of the Women’s and Children’s Empowerment Unit of the Polres Metro of Depok, Iptu Sutaryo, confirmed the report when contacted. He stated, that the case is currently under investigation.

“The case is now in the investigation stage. Witnesses and the accused have been questioned,” said Iptu Sutaryo when contacted by the media on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Meanwhile, the police will now seek information from a psychologist regarding the victim’s mental and psychological condition. A case conference will then be held.

The police are currently still completing the formal requirements for the investigation. However, Iptu Sutaryo assured that this case will be thoroughly investigated.
