progresifjaya.co.id, SUKABUMI – The Traffic Unit of the Polres of Sukabumi City is actively carrying out the Polantas Menyapa and Polantas Karib programs in the city known as City of Mochi. This demonstrates the unit’s strong commitment to forging closer ties with the community. Officers do not merely work behind desks, they actively interact, provide information, and ensure the public’s needs are well met—including through social initiatives that involve distributing free food to those in need.

Polres of Sukabumi City Traffic Unit Chief, AKP Ridwan Sandhi Maulana stated, that this social activity was conceived as an expression of mutual care, seamlessly integrated with the police’s core duties in the field.

There is no distinction between the duty to protect and the duty to serve and care for the community. The two go hand-in-hand, complementing each other, making the officers’ presence on the streets more meaningful and touching the hearts of the citizens they encounter.

Recipients ranged from motorcyclists on their way to work and mothers shopping for daily necessities to children walking with their parents, as well as passengers and users of public transport stopping by the roadside.

Amidst greeting people and distributing food, officers remained alert in managing vehicle movement, ensuring traffic flowed smoothly, safely, and orderly.
