progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad met with the Special Presidential Advisor on Hajj Affairs, Muhadjir Effendy, in the DPR leadership room at the Nusantara III Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta. News of the meeting emerged from a post on Sufmi’s Instagram account on Monday, August 10, 2026.

“Many matters were addressed in this discussion. These included improving service quality, the development of the Hajj Village in Saudi Arabia, and government efforts to gradually reduce the waiting period for Hajj pilgrims’ departure, as well as issues regarding DAM (Hajj compensatory penalties),” said Sufmi Dasco.

He stated, that the DPR highly appreciates the various improvements made in the organization of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. The execution of the Hajj showed progress compared to previous years, although there remain aspects requiring evaluation to further enhance the quality of service for Indonesian pilgrims.

“The DPR will continue to oversee improvements in Hajj organization to ensure that services for Indonesian pilgrims keep getting better year by year,” said Sufmi Dasco.

The upcoming evaluations aim to ensure continuous improvement in service quality.

“All parties involved in organizing the Hajj pilgrimage can use this year’s evaluation as a foundation to improve service quality for the upcoming Hajj season. This ensures that Indonesian pilgrims receive services that are increasingly safe, comfortable, and of high quality,” he added. (Bembo)
