Never Stopping Innovation, the Korlantas Polri Launches Digital Apps Sinar and Signal for the Public

Director of Registration and Identification Korlantas Polri, Brigjen Pol Wibowo

progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – As part of the Polri, the Korlantas Polri seems to never stop when it comes to innovation and breakthroughs. This impression has created a pattern of progress for this corps, which is mandatory and must be followed.

The definition of this forward-looking pattern for corps performance is actually an endeavor or effort. This means that the Korlantas Polri’s endeavor to continually make breakthroughs and innovations is nothing more than to further enhance the face of Polri reform in the field of public services.

Recently, this effort has been successfully realized with the launch of the digital apps
Sinar (Presisi National Driving License) and Signal (National Digital Samsat). The Sinar app was created to simplify the process of renewing a driver’s license (SIM Nasional Presisi) for the public. Meanwhile, the Signal app aims to simplify the process of renewing a vehicle registration (STNK).

In a written official statement, Brigjen Pol Wibowo, Director of Registration and Identification (Regident) at the Korlantas Polri stated, that the presence of these two digital applications is Korlantas Polri’s effort to maximize the quality of public services for the public. Digital services for SIM and STNK renewals are now faster, more efficient, and more transparent.

“This innovation is a concrete manifestation of the revitalization of the Directorate of Registration and Identification (Ditregident). Through the Sinar digital application, the public can now renew their Class A and Class C driver’s licenses online. From registration and health checks to payment, all the way through a single access point. Completed driver’s licenses are also sent directly to the applicant’s address via post,” explained Brigjen Pol Wibowo on Tuesday, (11/11).

“The same applies to the Signal digital platform. With just one click, vehicle owners can immediately enjoy the convenience of paying their motor vehicle tax (PKB) online,” he continued.

He further stated, that the launch of this application has also been linked to the Jasa Raharja and Bapenda systems in Indonesia. This ensures a smooth and seamless tax payment process, ensuring a fast and hassle-free process.

“These two digital applications offer many benefits. Besides saving time, they also minimize the potential for extortion and irregularities because all activities are recorded fairly and transparently,” he explained.

In addition to these two digital applications, Brigjen Pol Wibowo continued, the next step in his department’s performance will be the development of the E-BPKB (Electronic Motor Vehicle Ownership Book) and Digital ID Registration.

These two programs are also planned to be part of the Polri’s digital service ecosystem, which will eventually be integrated with national data.

“We want all registration services to be connected within a single Polri digital system. With data integration and the use of AI technology, we can improve the validation, accuracy, and speed of public services in the traffic sector. And that is a target that must be achieved,” he emphasized. (Bembo)
