Trailing Twice, Dewa United FC Draws 2-2 with Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC

Matchday 2 of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League.

progresifjaya.co.id, TANGERANG – Dewa United FC managed to avoid defeat while hosting Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC. Despite falling behind twice, Dewa United FC equalized on both occasions during the Matchweek 2 fixture of the 2026/2027 BRI Super League at Banten International Stadium, Tangerang, Banten, on the evening of Friday, September 11, 2026.

Playing as the home team, Dewa United FC sought to control possession and launch attacks, while Bhayangkara opted to rely on counter-attacks.

The disciplined play of Putu Gede Juniantara and his teammates proved capable of stifling the Banten Warriors’ attacks. Beyond merely halting their opponent’s scoring attempts, Bhayangkara managed to take the lead.

In the 29th minute, Mauricio Vera delivered a pass to Milan Ristovski, who then found the back of Sonny Stevens’ net.

However, just four minutes later, Dewa United FC leveled the score through Denilson Junior, who finished off a penetrating pass from Taisei Marukawa.

Just as it seemed the match would go into halftime tied, Jefferson Brenes changed the scoreline again with a long-range free-kick, making it 2-1 in favor of The Guardians.

Dewa United FC coach Osmar Loss made substitutions at the start of the second half, bringing on Damien Lowe and Johnathan to replace Adi Setiawan and Nick Kuipers.

Bhayangkara also made tactical adjustments to their lineup; Oscar Bruzon introduced Wahyu Subo Seto and Nehar Sadiki midway through the second half. Dewa United FC responded by bringing on Edo Febriansyah, Carlos Iury, and Alfaredzhie Buffon.

The Banten Warriors’ squad continued to face a dead end in their attempts to score. In the 80th minute, referee Yoko Suprianto pointed to the penalty spot after Kevin Sibille fouled Rafael Struick. The referee consulted the VAR monitor to confirm the decision, and the penalty was ultimately awarded to Dewa United FC.

Denilson stepped up to take the kick, aiming for the bottom right corner of the Bhayangkara goal. Although Awan Setho read the direction of the shot, the former Indonesia U-19 national team goalkeeper was unable to keep it out.

The score remained 2-2, and both teams ultimately had to settle for sharing the points. Dewa United FC provisionally leads the BRI Super League standings with four points, while Bhayangkara Presisi Lampung FC sits in eighth place with two points.
