progresifjaya.co.id, BANDUNG – Kapolda of West Java, Irjen Pol Pipit Rismanto, presided over a ceremony for the dishonorable discharge (PTDH) of 36 police personnel who had committed disciplinary violations within the Polda of West Java.

In his statement, Irjen Pol Pipit emphasized, that the dishonorable discharge ceremony was neither a moment of pride nor a form of commendation. Instead, the event was part of enforcing regulations and discipline within the police force.

“The ceremony we are conducting is not one of pride, nor is it for an award; rather, it is a ceremony for the dishonorable discharge of several police personnel who have committed disciplinary violations,” said Irjen Pol Pipit in remarks posted on the Instagram account @kapolda.jawabarat last Friday, September 11.

According to him, no police leader desires for their subordinates to end up in a dishonorable discharge ceremony. The dismissal of any personnel is considered a loss to the institution.

“No leader desires or plans for a ceremony like this. Losing personnel due to dishonorable discharge is a loss for the institution,” he stated.

Nevertheless, Irjen Pol Pipit emphasized that the Polri is an organization governed by rules and a disciplinary system that all members must obey.

“However, the Polri is an organization founded on rules, discipline, ethics, and responsibility,” he said.

He noted, that the dishonorable discharge is a consequence for members proven to have committed violations. In his view, these rules must be enforced to uphold the professionalism and integrity of the institution.

He also used the ceremony as an opportunity for evaluation and as a warning to all Polda of West Java personnel to avoid committing violations while carrying out their duties.

“This situation is a matter of shared concern and serves as a warning to all our members to consistently maintain discipline, integrity, and a sense of responsibility in their service,” he said. 

He then reminded all members to carry out their duties to the best of their ability and to remain steadfast in the values ​​of service inherent to their roles as Polri officers.

“Perform your duties to the best of your ability,” instructed Irjen Pol Pipit.

He also urged every member to maintain good intentions while carrying out their duties, noting that service to the community should be grounded in the spirit of worship.

“In Syaa Allah, if the intention is good—leaving home with the intent to serve as an act of worship—then, In Syaa Allah, the path ahead will be smooth,” he said.

Through this dishonorable discharge (PTDH) ceremony, Irjen Pol Pipit hopes, that all Polda of West Java personnel will learn from the event and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining discipline, ethics, integrity, and a sense of responsibility as Polri officers. (Bembo)
