progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Ahead of the 71st anniversary of the Bhayangkara Traffic Corps, the Polri Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) held a ceremonial cleansing and honoring of its standard (Pataka), known as Dharmakerta Marga Raksyaka. This event, rich in tradition and historical significance, was led by the Head of the Polri Traffic Corps, Irjen Pol Wibowo.

The event took place on the morning of Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in the Madellu Hall at the NTMC Korlantas Polri building in Jakarta. The ceremony was conducted with solemnity and featured a formal salute to the Traffic Corps standard.

In addition to the Head of the Traffic Corps, key officials were also in attendance, including the Director of Traffic Safety (Dirkamsel), Brigjen Pol Prianto, the Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident), Brigjen Pol Komarudin, and the Chief Policy Planner (Level II) to the Kapolri, Brigjen Pol Aries Syahbudin. Also present were the Principal Police Auditor (Level II) for the Traffic Corps, Brigjen Pol Chiko Ardwiatto, and the Head of the Operations Division (Kabag Ops), Kombes Pol Turmudi.

The tradition of cleansing and honoring the Dharmakerta Marga Raksyaka standard is part of the series of events leading up to the 71st anniversary of the Bhayangkara Traffic Corps on September 22, 2026.

The ceremony aims to honor and reaffirm the noble values ​​embodied in the Tribrata (Police Code of Conduct) and Catur Prasetya (Police Pledge). The Traffic Corps standard encompasses both the Traffic Unit insignia and the Traffic Corps insignia. The Dharmakerta Marga Raksyaka standard of the Korlantas Polri embodies the spirit that drives every officer to fulfill their duty of protecting, nurturing, and serving the community.

During the ceremony, the water used to cleanse and honor the standard was sourced from seven islands across the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia: Java, Bali, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

The use of water from these seven islands symbolizes the Traffic Corps’ role as the overseer of traffic functions, with personnel and operations spanning the entire Indonesian archipelago.

Dharmakerta Marga Raksyaka serves as the emblem of honor for the Korlantas Polri. The cleansing ceremony reaffirms the standard’s significance as a guiding principle for the service rendered by every traffic police officer.

The shield depicted on the standard symbolizes protection, reflecting the traffic police’s duty to always be present to protect, nurture, and serve the public.

Every traffic police officer is expected to possess the necessary capabilities, skills, and knowledge, underpinned by a mindset and character rooted in the Tribrata and Catur Prasetya.
