The Polres of Tasikmalaya conducted a humanitarian religious visit to the Thoriqul Huda 2 Islamic Boarding School.

progresifjaya.co.id, TASIKMALAYA – The Polres of Tasikmalaya conducted a compassionate religious outreach visit to the Thoriqul Huda 2 Islamic Boarding School in Karangsari Hamlet, Karangnunggal Village, Karangnunggal District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

During the visit, the Polres of Tasikmalaya also presented a donation of basic food packages to meet the needs of the students (santri). The donation consisted of 100 kg of rice, five boxes of instant noodles, and one box of eggs.

In a statement regarding this compassionate religious outreach, the Head of the Registration and Identification Unit (Kanit Regident) of the Polres of Tasikmalaya, Ipda Aef Saefusyidqi, said the visit was carried out under the direction of the Kapolres of Tasikmalaya, AKBP Ade Papa Rihi. He noted, that the Mr Kapolres cares deeply about the well-being of the students and wishes to consistently assist in ensuring their needs are adequately met.

“Our visit to the Thoriqul Huda 2 Islamic Boarding School is a tangible expression of the Polri’s concern for the lives of students in Islamic boarding schools. The Mr Kapolres is also highly attentive to this matter,” said Ipda Aef on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

He added, that such compassionate religious outreach visits to Islamic boarding schools have become a regular Wednesday activity for the Polres of Tasikmalaya. This is particularly relevant given that life in Tasikmalaya Regency is deeply rooted in Islamic values, boarding school traditions, and Sundanese local wisdom preserved through generations.

The regency—often dubbed one of West Java’s “Cities of Santri” —also boasts strong religious centers and a rich spiritual history. Consequently, the Polri must be able to adapt to and engage with this local way of life. (Bembo)
