progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Leadership of the Polri has transitioned from Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo to Jenderal Pol Suyudi Ario Seto. Jenderal Pol Suyudi received official approval from the House of Representatives (DPR) to become the new Kapolri, followed by his inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto.

Jenderal Pol Suyudi Ario Seto successfully passed the fit and proper test conducted by Commission III of the DPR RI on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

President Prabowo Subianto immediately inaugurated Jenderal Pol Suyudi Ario Seto as the Kapolri. The inauguration took place at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, alongside Komjen Pol General Wahyu Hadiningrat, who was appointed Wakapolri, succeeding Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo.

Through this inauguration, President Prabowo affirmed that the Polrileadership is now comprised of new officials. Jenderal Pol Suyudi previously served as the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), while Komjen Pol Wahyu served as the Kapolri’s Principal Assistant for General Planning and Budgeting (Astamarena).

President Prabowo has entrusted Jenderal PolnListyo Sigit Prabowo—who previously held the Polri command—with the role of Chief of Presidential Staff (KSP). Meanwhile, Komjen Pol Dedi Prasetyo has been appointed as the Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency.

During the fit and proper test at DPR Commission III earlier this morning, Jenderal Pol Suyudi stated, that he brings the spirit of “Polri Together with the Community” (Polri Bersama Masyarakat). Jenderal Pol Suyudi emphasized this concept during the session, assuring that the spirit is not merely a slogan but a public-oriented policy. 

“Police Together with the Community’ is not merely a slogan or a substitute for grand strategies, strategic plans, or frameworks like Promoter, Presisi, or community policing (Polmas); rather, it is a leadership doctrine that aligns all policies toward a single orientation: the community,” said Jenderal Pol Suyudi.

Jenderal Pol Suyudi firmly stated, that he does not want every change in the Kapolri to be interpreted as starting over from scratch. In his view, the institution must transcend the individual leader. Therefore, he intends to continue all previous policies, systems, and programs that have proven effective and beneficial.

“I will strengthen and institutionalize them, i will refine what is not yet optimal, simplify what is redundant, and firmly correct anything that deviates from ethical standards, the law, or the public interest,” he explained.

Regarding the Promoter framework, Jenderal Pol Suyudi intends to uphold the spirit of professionalism, public service modernization, quick wins, and change management. From the Presisi framework, he will continue the predictive approach, fair transparency, the digitalization of services—such as ETLE, the 110 Call Center, and public complaint mechanisms (dumas)—as well as restorative justice in accordance with the law.
