Kapolda Metro Jaya Hosts Gathering to Hear Aspirations and Feedback from Journalists

Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto holds a gathering with journalists.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto, hosted a gathering and luncheon with members of the press at the lobby of the Promotor Building, Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters, on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This event served as a forum for dialogue to listen to aspirations, suggestions, and feedback regarding police services and security issues of public concern.
During the event—which was also attended by Wakapolda, Irjen Pol Adex Yudiswan and key Polda Metro Jaya officials—Kapolda Dadang expressed his desire to hear direct input from journalists to help evaluate and improve police performance.
“This afternoon, i wanted to meet with my journalist colleagues. Ultimately, there is one thing i want to do: listen,” the Kapolda said.
He views aspirations and feedback as vital components in the effort to improve the institution. He acknowledges that there are still aspects of service requiring enhancement—ranging from personnel performance and systems to service management—in order to deliver better service to the public.
Additionally, Kapolda Dadang opened a communication channel for the public via WhatsApp at 08118129494. Complaints can also be submitted through internal oversight functions and the Professional and Security (Propam). The feedback received will serve as a basis for evaluation to identify issues and determine corrective measures.
“This is invaluable to me. I will give it serious thought and follow up on it,” he explained.
Beyond receiving feedback, Kapolda Dadang hopes that communication and rapport with the press will be maintained. He believes the media plays a crucial role in conveying information and the issues faced by the public, thereby providing valuable input for the police force.
In line with the spirit of “Polisi Bersama Masyarakat” he stated, that openness to public aspirations would be part of the Polda Metro Jaya’s effort to enhance services that are responsive to the needs of residents. This also aligns with the Polri’s duty to protect, safeguard, and serve the community.
“So, we work to serve—to serve Jakarta. And that is something we must do,” he emphasized. (Bembo)
