progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Komjen Pol Dadang Hartanto, has called for the strengthening of education, social resilience, and environmental improvement to address areas prone to drug trafficking. These measures are essential to support law enforcement efforts while preventing the resurgence of drug-related activities.

Kapolda Dadang made these remarks while responding to questions from reporters during a press conference at the Polda Metro Jaya headquarters on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Kapolda Dadang explained, that enforcement actions against drug networks must be accompanied by preventive measures and improvements to the local environment to ensure long-term, sustainable results.

“The police cannot work alone,” he stated.

He further emphasized the importance of collaborating with local governments and various other stakeholders to bolster education, improve the urban environment, and enhance the overall quality of life for the community.

In his view, the prevention of drug abuse must begin within the family and the local community. Education, guidance, and active concern from residents are crucial components in building societal resilience against the dangers of drugs.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto, encouraged the public to become more vigilant regarding the dangers of drugs within their own neighborhoods.

He underscored the necessity of resident participation and cross-sectoral cooperation to support prevention efforts.
