progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Suyudi Ario Seto, has spoken out regarding the handling of a shooting incident that resulted in the death of Bharatu Laurentius Valdo Fernandes (LV) at the Marine and Air Police Corps (Polairud) headquarters in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang. He confirmed that the case is currently being processed by the Polri’s Internal Affairs Division (Propam).

“Regarding the incident in Pondok Cabe, it is already under investigation by the Propam,” said Jenderal Pol Suyudi at the Polri Headquarters in South Jakarta on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

However, when asked whether the Polri would conduct an evaluation following the incident, Jenderal Pol Suyudi chose to remain silent.

Previously, the shooting incident—which claimed the life of Bharatu Laurentius Valdo Fernandes Lawai at the hands of his junior, Bharada Andika Rahmadani—occurred at the Polairud headquarters in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, on Friday, October 16, 2026, at approximately 05:30 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). An autopsy revealed that the victim died after being struck by four projectiles in the head.

The case is currently being handled by the Polda Metro Jaya. Investigators have named Bharada Andika Rahmadani (AR) as a suspect in the shooting and have placed him in custody. (Bembo)
