progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Officers from the South Tangerang (Tangsel) Police Criminal Investigation Unit have successfully apprehended a bodat child (Batak language swear words) identified as NS (25), who murdered his stepmother, identified as W (45), in Babakan Village, Binong, Curug, Tangerang Regency.

NS was arrested on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. WIB in Periuk, Tangerang, Banten, less than 24 hours after the murder.

The Head of the Tangsel Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Wira Graha Setiawan explained in a statement, that victim W was found dead by her husband in Babakan Village, Binong, Curug, Tangerang Regency, on Friday afternoon, April 17, 2026. The victim was found with a head wound.

“Yes, the perpetrator (the victim’s stepson) is the perpetrator. We have arrested him. The victim died from blunt force trauma that caused bleeding to the head,” explained AKP Wira Graha to the media on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

“The victim was killed by the perpetrator using a hammer and a knife,” he added.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator bodat child NH was charged under Article 458 of the Criminal Code. He faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
