Optimizing Digital Services and QR-Based Queuing, Updates and Communications from the Satpas Polres Cimahi Traffic Unit

Digitalized services at the Cimahi Police Driver’s License Issuance Unit (Satpas).

progresifjaya.co.id, CIMAHI – The Driver’s License Issuance Unit (Satpas) of the Polres Cimahi continues to strive for better service quality through digitalization, the simplification of administrative processes, and the expansion of its mobile driver’s license (SIM) service.

During a press conference held at the Satpas Polres Cimahi building on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the Head of the Polres Cimahi Traffic Unit, AKP Arviandre Maliki, outlined performance achievements, public service evaluations, and several innovations designed to make the process of obtaining a driver’s license easier for the public.

One key achievement highlighted is an increase in service efficiency, with applicant wait times reduced by up to 35 percent. This improvement is attributed to the optimization of online registration via the “SINAR” application and the implementation of a self-service, QR-code-based queuing system.

These measures are intended to make the service process more practical, organized, and transparent, while simultaneously reducing long queues at service locations.

In addition to administrative digitalization, the Satpas Polres Cimahi emphasized transparency in the administration of both theoretical and practical driver’s license examinations.

The practical test course has been adjusted to align with the current national curriculum.

The traditional “figure-eight” and “zig-zag” maneuvers have been replaced with a more practical testing layout that continues to prioritize driving skills and safety.

These adjustments are expected to help applicants better understand the driving competencies required for everyday traffic situations.

Furthermore, to accommodate individuals with high mobility, the Satpas Polres Cimahi announced plans to increase the number of mobile driver’s license service locations, including operations on weekends.

Additionally, special evening services are planned for several strategic locations.

These initiatives aim to broaden access to services for the residents of Cimahi City and West Bandung Regency (KBB), particularly for those who find it difficult to visit during standard working hours. However, the public is advised to verify the schedule, location, and types of services available through official information channels before visiting the service site.

On this occasion, Head of the Traffic Unit AKP Arviandre Maliki reaffirmed his commitment to providing transparent services that are free from illegal levies (extortion/bribes).

Consequently, the public is urged to process their SIM through official procedures and pay fees in accordance with the prevailing regulations on Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP). Citizens are also advised against using the services of unauthorized intermediaries (scalpers) and are encouraged to utilize official complaint channels if they encounter any suspected irregularities in the service process.

“We are continuously improving to provide a humanistic, fast, and transparent service to the people of Cimahi and West Bandung Regency (KBB). This digital transformation reflects our commitment to realizing a ‘Precise’ (Predictive, Responsible, and Transparent) Polri that is free from the practice of using intermediaries,” stated AKP Arviandre Maliki.
