progresifjaya.co.id, BOGOR CITY – The Driver’s License Service Unit (Satpas) of the Polresta Bogor is continuously devising new strategies to combat brokers involved in the driver’s license (SIM) application process. Initial attempts—such as designing the office to resemble a bank and stationing police officers on-site—proved ineffective.
Consequently, the Polresta Bogor Satpas has now implemented an open-plan system, removing partitions between the registration area and the payment counters. The facility has been designed for comfort and is equipped with full Wi-Fi access.
“Everything is handled transparently, with a focus on faster, visible, and efficient service. With hundreds of applicants—both for license renewals and new applications—arriving daily, we opted for an open-concept design to ensure a more comfortable experience for everyone,” stated the Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasat Lantas) of the Polresta Bogor, Kompol Ega Prayudi, recently.
The facility can accommodate 150 applicants at a time and features a modern, futuristic, prototype-style design. To keep applicants occupied while they wait, the area is equipped with Wi-Fi. Furthermore, the entire building is air-conditioned, and each service counter is staffed by female police officers.
Only two areas remain partitioned: the theory test room and the simulator test room for B1 license applicants.
With this layout, Kompol Ega is confident that there is no longer any room for brokers to operate.
“Sorry, brokers—the Polresta Bogor Satpas isn’t playing that game anymore,” Kompol Ega remarked with a chuckle. (Bembo)
