progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Polres Metro of West Jakarta conducted a raid on the Kampung Boncos area in Palmerah, West Jakarta, targeting several locations suspected of being hubs for drug transactions and abuse.

Kapolres Metro of West Jakarta, Kombes Pol Nasriadi stated, that hundreds of officers were deployed to navigate the narrow alleyways—some only about 1,5 meters wide—to search houses, makeshift shacks, and rented rooms suspected of being used for narcotics-related activities.

The raid took place on Friday, October 30, 2026. During the operation, officers discovered a wooden shack on a vacant plot of land, where two men—believed to have just consumed crystal methamphetamine or sabu—were caught in the act.

“One room, measuring approximately 2×3 meters, drew the officers’ attention. When they arrived, the air conditioner was still running, though the occupant appeared to have fled just moments before the police arrived,” said Kapolres Nasriadi.

Authorities also recovered several items linked to drug abuse, including sharp weapons—such as machetes and badik (traditional daggers)—traces of crystal methamphetamine aka sabu, marijuana, an empty safe, and rolling papers.

“During this operation, we apprehended three individuals from various regions, Surabaya, East Java, the Slipi-Palmerah area, and Aceh,” he added.

Investigators from the Polres Metro of West Jakarta are currently conducting further inquiries to determine the specific roles of the three individuals, including whether they are part of a larger drug trafficking network.

“We will continue our investigation to determine if they are part of a network—whether they act as kingpins, distributors, or merely users,” explained Kapolres Nasriadi.

After raiding the Boncos area, Kapolres Nasriadi intends to ensure that the site is no longer used for the distribution or consumption of narcotics. He has also instructed his subordinates to conduct regular surveillance.

“Anyone who rebuilds these shanties is effectively part of the drug-trafficking network. I have directed the Kapolsek and the Head of the Narcotics Unit to arrest them,” he asserted. (Bembo)
