The Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 113-99 in a match held at the Nets’ home ground, Barclays Center, on Wednesday,(18/11). This victory marked the Boston Celtics’ 15th victory over the Brooklyn Nets in the last 16 regular season meetings.

He also hit 9 of 19 shots and 8 of 10 free throws in front of a large Boston fan base in the stands.

Facing the Brooklyn Nets, the Boston Celtics shot 49.3% and overcame 20 turnovers. This was the “Green Machine”‘s worst record of the season.

Meanwhile, Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points for the Brooklyn Nets. However, it wasn’t enough to prevent the Nets from suffering their seventh home loss. They also failed to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Day’Ron Sharpe added 16 points, Noah Clowney contributed 13, and rookies Egor Demin and Ziaire Williams each scored 12 points.

The Brooklyn Nets struggled in the first quarter, trailing 24-14. They only made 4 of 15 shots and committed seven turnovers.

After leading 62-61 at halftime, the Boston Celtics seemed to be in control in the third quarter.
Brown executed a three-point play and hit a 3-pointer with just 36 seconds remaining to extend the lead to 75-65 with 7:28 remaining.

The lead grew to 11 points after Brown hit another short jumper nearly three minutes later.

However, entering the fourth quarter, the Boston Celtics slackened. Unable to further widen the lead, they were only within 89-85 when Brown hit an open 3-pointer with 16.3 seconds remaining.

Instead, it was Porter’s 3-pointer that gave Brooklyn an 89-90 lead with 9:08 remaining. Thankfully, Neemias Queta’s reverse dunk broke the deadlock less than a minute later, making it 91-90.

The Boston Celtics were able to slightly widen their lead to 100-92 thanks to White’s 3-pointer with 5.5 minutes remaining. He then hit another open 3-pointer from the corner to make it 103-93 with 4:06 remaining.

Dan Brown finally hit another 3-pointer from the right side to maintain the lead at 107-93 with 2:55 remaining and seal the win. Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets were held below 100 points until the end of the game, marking the third such repeat this season. (Bembo)
