Wakapolres Kuningan, Kompol Eryda Kusumah, conducts a visit to engage with the community and coordinate with the Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of Kuningan Regency, H. Toto Toharuddin.
progresifjaya.co.id, KUNINGAN – The Polres Kuningan) continue to demonstrate their commitment to addressing unemployment in Kuningan Regency. This is being carried out through the “Police Care for the Unemployed” (Polisi Peduli Pengangguran – Poliran) initiative—a program championed by the Kapolri—designed to help individuals of productive age secure employment opportunities that align with their specific skills and expertise.
To implement this initiative, the Wakapolres Kuningan, Kompol Eryda Kusumah, conducted a visit and held coordination meetings with the Head of the Kuningan Regency Manpower and Transmigration Agency (Disnakertrans), H. Toto Toharuddin, on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The visit, which took place at the Manpower and Transmigration Agency office on Jalan R.E. Martadinata, Kertawangunan Village, Sindangagung District, also included an on-site observation of participants in a pre-employment training program organized by the agency.
During the visit, Wakapolres Eryda was accompanied by the Head of the Community Policing Unit (Kasat Binmas), AKP Nurjani, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim), AKP Abdul Azis, and several other Polres Kuningan personnel.
Wakapolres Eryda stated, that the Poliran program serves as a tangible expression of the Polri’s concern for social issues—specifically unemployment—which requires focused attention and collaboration from various stakeholders.
“Through this “Police Care for the Unemployed” program, we aim to provide real benefits to the community. We strive to act as a bridge for individuals of productive age, helping them access information and job opportunities that match their skills, abilities, and areas of expertise,” said Wakapolres Eryda.
He emphasized, that tackling unemployment cannot be achieved by a single entity alone. It requires synergy between the Polri, the local government, the business sector, and all elements of society to ensure that more employment opportunities become available.
“We hope that through coordination with the Disnakertrans, a partnership can be established to track companies offering job vacancies in Kuningan Regency. This way, the public will have easier and more targeted access to employment information,” said Wakapolres Eryda.
During the visit, Wakapolres Eryda also inspected several pre-employment training programs currently underway, including courses in automotive repair, sewing, computer skills, and baking.
These training programs are considered a strategic step toward enhancing the skills and competencies of the community, whether they are preparing to enter the workforce or looking to start their own businesses.
Wakapolres Eryda expressed his hope that the skills acquired by the participants would serve as a foundation for improving their standard of living and creating new economic opportunities.
“Our hope is that the participants not only gain skills but are also able to leverage them to secure employment or launch their own independent businesses,” said Wakapolres Eryda.
“The Polri will continue to foster collaboration and social engagement to ensure that the presence of the police force provides tangible benefits to the community,” he added. (Bembo)
