Arrested by the Resmob Polda Metro Jaya, Two Armed Motorcycle Theft Suspects Face Multiple Charges and 20 Years in Prison

Two armed motorcycle theft suspects, identified as TM and RA, were arrested by personnel from the Mobile Detective (Resmob) Subdit of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya in Banjaran Pucung Village, Tapos, Depok, West Java.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – Two motorcycle theft suspects, identified as TM and RA, were arrested by personnel from the Polda Metro Jaya Mobile Detective (Resmob) Sub-Directorate of the General Crimes Directorate (Ditreskrimum) at a rented house in Banjaran Pucung Village, Tapos, Depok, West Java, on Wednesday (26/11). Three rounds of ammunition and a homemade firearm were also confiscated from the two suspects.
In a statement to the media, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto stated, that the two criminals’ actions went viral on social media after they were seen pointing firearms at a motorcycle owner who caught them in the act. Their attempt to steal the motorcycle occurred at a shop in Cilangkap, Tapos, Depok City, on Monday (24/11).
“After their criminal actions went viral, officers from the Resmob Sub-Directorate immediately moved quickly to investigate. Their whereabouts were tracked, they were immediately arrested, and transported to the Polda Metro Jaya,” Kombes Pol Bhudi Hermanto told the media on Sunday, (30/11).
“And during intensive questioning, they also admitted to frequently using firearms during their actions,” he added.
He also added, that investigators have charged the two perpetrators with multiple articles for their crimes. In addition to being charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning Aggravated Theft, they have also been charged with Article 1 Paragraph (1) of Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951 concerning Unauthorized Possession of Firearms.
