Trial of the implementation of E-TLE Mobile Handheld by the Banjar Polres Traffic Unit.
progresifjaya.co.id, JAKARTA – The Banjar Polres Traffic Unit’s implementation of mobile handheld E-TLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement) using mobile devices has proven effective and efficient in detecting violations during patrols. Every violation in the field is guaranteed to be recorded immediately without leaving any room for rebuttal. Just straight up wrong, yes wrong. Straight to the point. That’s it.
Whether it’s a violation such as not wearing a helmet, or not wearing a seatbelt (car), or violating a traffic sign, or even a U-turn, everything is immediately recorded and serves as valid evidence for officers to send to the violators’ addresses after validation.
The Head of the Banjar Polres Traffic Unit, AKP Firman Hidayat Pinim explained in an official statement, that
the implementation of Mobile Handheld E-TLE began today, Saturday, November 17, 2026, in the Banjar Square area. And on the first day of its trial implementation, this handheld electronic ticketing technology has already proven its reliability. Although still a trial, all traffic violations in the field are recorded immediately without missing a single one.
“This effort is also part of the Polri’s commitment to supporting digital transformation. It also serves as a form of transparent, accountable, and technology-based traffic law enforcement.
Officers can take action against violators electronically without having to interact directly with drivers,” explained AKP Firman.
He also stated, that in the current trial phase, his office is only operating one E-TLE Mobile Handheld unit. However, the results of this system’s trial will serve as the foundation for expanding its implementation within the Banjar Polres jurisdiction.
“We certainly hope this system can increase the effectiveness of objective and professional traffic violation enforcement. There is no longer any direct interaction with the public. This means eliminating the potential for extortion,” he added.
AKP Firman also explained, that the E-TLE Mobile Handheld system works using a special smartphone device that is integrated with the national E-TLE system. Using this device, officers can directly record various traffic violations occurring in the field. The recorded violation data is then electronically processed and verified before being sent to the violating vehicle owner’s address.
The implementation of this system also indirectly aims to minimize the potential for procedural violations in traffic violation enforcement. This effort also serves as an effort by the traffic police to increase public trust in all public service performance. (Bembo)
